Overview

Tsomgo Lake, also known as Tsongmo Lake or Changu Lake, is a glacial lake in the East Sikkim district of the Indian state of Sikkim, some 40 kilometres from the capital Gangtok. Located at an elevation of 3,753 m, the lake remains frozen during the winter season. 


 

 

Itinerary

DAY 1 NJP Station/IXB Airport to Gangtok - Pick Up

Approx Distance: 124 Km • Est. Travel Time: 4 hours 18 minutes On this day at arrival at Ixb/Njp our representative/Vehicle Driver will meet & greet assist you to board the vehicle then you will be transferred to Gangtok (East Sikkim) from here 4 & ½ hrs journeys approx through the valley of hills and river reach by evening check in at your pre booked hotel evening free for leisure suggested to visit M.G. Marg The Mall Road & to nearby shopping Complex by Foot overnight at Gangtok. (Enroute one can enjoy white water rafting at Melli at their own cost on direct payment basis)

DAY 2 Gangtok to Lachen - Transfer & on the way Sightseeing

The day starts with a yummy & healthy morning breakfast, done with your lugguages packing at around 09.30 am (Depends on Permits timing) drive to Lachen (North Sikkim) on the way visit Butterfly Waterfall or Seven Sisters waterfalls as per route open, lunch on the way at Mangan City then on the way stop at Singhik Viewpoint (The Stunning View Of Mt.Kanchanjungha Ranges), Naga Waterfalls, Chungthang Valley view point halt for a tea break, reach Lachen by evening check into your pre booked hotel evening free for leisure overnight at Lachen (Note-- As Lachen North Sikkim is totally an isolated & remote area so the guests are requested not to expect any luxurius facilities, its going to be a adventures tour with basics services)

DAY 3 Lachen to Lachung - Gurudongmar Lake Excursion & Transfer

Early morning sharp at 6.00 am (Requested to consult the cab driver once about early morning pick-up timing) head towards Gurudongmar Lake - |Gurudongmar Lake is one of the highest lakes in the world and in India, at an elevation of 5,430 m (17,800 ft) according to the Government of Sikkim.[1][2][a] It is located in the Great Himalayas in the Mangan District in Indian state of Sikkim and considered sacred by Buddhists, Sikhs and Hindus. The lake is named after Guru Padmasambhava—also known as Guru Rinpoche—founder of Tibetan Buddhism, who visited in the 8th century |- through Thangu village. Enjoy the view of lake and cold desert at 17,800 ft. Afternoon back to hotel for lunch and transfer towards Lachung en route halt at Chungthang Valley & at Bhim Nala Waterfalls reach Lachung by evening leisure after hotel checks in Overnight at Lachung. Note: Reaching Gurudongmar lake is subject to road condition and weather clarity as well as permit issued by Sikkim Tourism Department. (No refund of amount or any other alternative tour will be provided if the gusts are unable to visit Gurudongmar Lake for any reason)

DAY 4 Lachung to Gangtok - Yumthang Valley Sightseeing & Transfer

Early Morning at around 07.00 AM after having done with the breakfast head towards Yumthang Valley |It is popularly known as 'Valley of Flowers'and is home to the Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary, which has over twenty-four species of the rhododendron the state flower. The flowering season is from late February and to mid-June, when countless flowers bloom to carpet the valley in multicolored hues of rainbow. A tributary of the river Teesta flows past the valley and the town of Lachung, the nearest inhabited centre. |The Tourist can also visit Zero Point on direct payments basis |also known as Yume Samdong, Zero Point stands at an altitude of 15,300 ft above mean sea level. It happens to be the last outpost of civilisation and the place where three rivers meet amid a panoramic view of snow-clad mountains and picturesque surroundings. It is located very close to the international border between India and China| as the tour come to an end back to lachung hotel for lunch then later drive towards Gangtok evening leisure overnight at Gangtok. Note: Reaching Yumthang Valley is Subject to Weather and road condition or Permits issued by Sikkim Tourism Dept. if the permit are not issued then we will provide an alternative sightseeing but if the permits issued but unable to reach Yumthang Valley then no other alternative tour will be entertained the vehicle will go upto the end point.

DAY 5 Gangtok to Nathula - Excursion

The Morning starts with a good vibes as you done with your breakfast and as per the tour planned at around 08: 30 am (after the permit issued by the Tourism Dep’t.) go for a day ecursions covering Nathulla Pass (Indo-China Border14100FT.above sea level) Tsomgo Lake & New Baba Mandir (Tourists can also enjoy ropeway ride over the Lake by paying extra cost kindly consult with the driver directly as waiting charges will be applicable) As you complete with all return back to Gangtok and evening free for leisure suggested to visit M.G. Marg The Mall Road by foot. (Nathulla Pass remain closed on Monday and are not included in the package cost) (Nathulla Pass Cannot be committed till the last hour due to complication on permits. Even though we will try our level best to fulfill the guest’s requirement. Permits Charges can be varid from time to time)

DAY 6 Gangtok to NJP Station/Ixb Airport - Drop

Approx Distance: 124 Km • Est. Travel Time: 4 hours On this day as per scheduled timing having done with your breakfast check out from your respective hotel take a transfer to Njp railway station/Ixb bagdogra Airport for onwards Journey. ***** End Of Tour & Service *****
